The complex climate models used to inform policy decisions, and once the domain of academics only, are becoming increasingly useful to investors, speculators and risk managers. The financial risks associated with a changing climate need to be better understood and managed.
The objective of long-term economic growth within a changing climate will require new types of financial instruments, risk transfer products and “climate proof” investment opportunities.
A SHORT COURSE ON CLIMATE RISK FOR COMPANY DIRECTORS
Climate Policy Research has developed a short course on climate risks for company directors. The course has been designed to provide Australian company directors with the initial overview of the key aspects of how financial risks arise from a changing climate.
